DADU: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said the Pakistan Peoples Party’s Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the only leader in Pakistan who can provide true leadership to the people.
“Bilawal will also create a history like his martyred grandfather Zulfiqar Bhutto and martyred mother Benazir Bhutto,” said the chief minister while addressing a gathering of the PPP leaders and workers at Jamali House here Wednesday, according to a press release issued by Sindh Information Department.
He said the PPP leaders had always created history through their leadership, adding that the completion of five-year tenure of an elected government under the leadership of the PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari was another milestone achieved by the party.
Shah said only the PPP offers young leadership to Pakistan in the form of Bilawal, whom the people love and cherish because he is the scion of a family which had a history of sacrifices, struggle and achievements for that country.
“The way Bilawal has started his political career shows that he will carry on the mission of his martyred grandfather and mother,” he added.
He said Bilawal visited Lyari town in Karachi the other day, adding that the way he was welcomed by the people of Lyari showed that he was given the same love and support like his mother.
The CM said that some political adversaries were casting aspersion about the planned October 18 public meeting of the PPP in Karachi by saying that the provincial government was utilizing its resources and forcing people to attend the event.
“The October 18 rally will show to all the detractors that the people turned up due to their decades old affinity with the party. The event will also show that the PPP is the most popular political party in the country,” he said.
Shah said the PPP government served the people affected and displaced by the floods and flash flood in 2010 and 2011 as well as provided free wheat to some 1.6 million drought-hit people in Tharparkar.
The CM praised the contributions and support for the PPP of the people of Dadu and expressed hope that they would attend the rally in huge numbers.
