MQM announces to start drive for more provinces in country after Muharram

KARACHI:  Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui announced Sunday evening that his party will  start its campaign for more provinces, in accordance to administrative needs, across the country, after Muharram- ul- Haram.

Addressing a rally arranged to register the protest against the statement by a PPP leader Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah about the term “Muhajir,” he also announced an end to the “Black Day,” observed by MQM in the country Sunday. He said in reference to the holy month, the campaign would be initiated later on.

Dr. Khalid Maqbool said his party workers and followers of Altaf Hussain would stand together for the protection of their rights and also of all deprived sections of the society.

Other leaders of MQM including Dr. Farooq Sattar, Haider Abbas Rizvi, said MQM rally was for a cause and this also included above all protection of the reputation of reverred individuals.

They alleged that it were the feudal and people with vested interests who wanted to create a rift among the masses and to achieve their objectives were turning insensitive towards public emotions.
