Karachiites observe 63rd death anniversary of Liaquat Ali Khan

KARACHI: The 63rd death anniversary of the first Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shaheed e Millat, Khan Liaquat Ali Khan was observed with solemnity in the city on Thursday.

Karachi administration in coordination with Quaid e Azam Mausoleum Management Board had arranged a Quran khwani session on the premises of Mazar e Quaid early in the morning.

This was soon followed by visit to his mazar by people in general, mainly children from nearby schools and senior activists of Pakistan Muslim League alongwith a few representatives of city administration who offered fateha and laid floral wreath on the grave of Khan Liaquat Ali Khan.

Shaheed Millat, a close associate of the Father of Nation, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, buried close to his commander. was martyred by one Syed Akbar while addressing a public rally in Rawalpindi on Oct 16, 1951.
