KARACHI: Knowledge Leadership in Innovation and Creativity Conference, with eight international and three local speakers will be held here on November 17 and November 18.
The purpose of KLIC 2014 is to bring to the forefront the leadership skills required for fostering innovation in the Pakistan corporate sector, said Rumman Ahmad, chief organizer of the event.
The leadership expert and creativity and innovation trainer and facilitator Ahmad on Monday said the event will focus on how corporate leaders in Pakistan can create a climate and inculcate behaviors to stimulate creative thinking and innovations in their organizations.
The moot will aim to provide an understanding of what creativity can do for the corporate sector in Pakistan, both professionally and personally, he said.
In a break from regular conference format, experimental learning is the cornerstone of KLIC 2014, While the first day is dedicated to keynote presentations, participants will have a choice of attending two 3 hours workshops on the second day.
Workshops will cover subjects such as “The Leader as Creative Coach” and “Creative Behaviors and Lateral Thinking Tools.” A menu will also be offered to the participants for selection closer to the conference date.
Another pioneering offer for the conference attendees is courtesy Andy Burnett of “KnowInnovation” who will be granting free access to a Creativity 101 course that his company created.

KLIC will feature creative experts from around the world in person or via feed. Keynote speakers and facilitators will include Guliz Kavuncuoglu, Global Senior Manager, Ignitor Creativity, Insights and Ideas Team at Coca Cola Corporation.
Erik Op Ten Berg of Pioen Consult, Netherlands; Eva Terruzzi, Director in Fiera Milano, Italy Jean Nitchals, Founder of Niche Solutions, USA; Andy Burnett and Ismet Mamnoon of KnowInnovation, USA; Russ Schoen, adjunct professor of creativity at the International Centre for Studies in Creativity, USA; Athar Osama, CEO of Pakistan Innovation Foundation and Faris Khalid management trainer would also be among the speakers during the two day event.
