Imran’ baseless allegations only for diverting people’s attention from his actions : Pervaiz Rashid

ISLAMABAD: : Federal Minister for Information Broadcasting and National Heritage, Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Wednesday regretted that Imran Khan, instead of demonstrating mature and responsible politics, has resorted to hurling baseless allegations against the government.

The Minister said it is only aimed at distracting people from his actions which has already cost the nation heavily both economically and diplomatically.

Pervaiz Rashid said that instead of admitting the leadership qualities of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who raised the issue of drone with US President Obama and Kashmir issue at the United Nations, he is painting a false picture by creating an impression that the government is silent on such issues.

The Minister said the Government of Pakistan approved the launch of Zarb-e-Azb, and expects all political parties to rally behind the Armed Forces in achieving the national objective of eliminating terrorism from the country.

He said Imran Khan should direct his government in KPK to help the displaced persons so that the operation Zarb-e-Azb can be carried out with singular focus and undivided attention.

Record bears that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has demonstrated exemplary leadership in projecting and defending Pakistan’s national interest and territorial sovereignty unambiguously, he said.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif does not need any lecture on Pakistan’s national interest, he added.
