Hashmi resigns from PTI

MULTAN: Senior politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi on Wednesday announced to resign from PTI president ship and its basic membership.

Addressing a press conference, he said: “I cannot continue with a political party which has hypocritical and undemocratic attitude.”

He claimed that Imran Khan’s popularity was decreasing over the time. He said, he had always been giving warning to Imran to be cautious of flattering people surrounding him with bad intentions.

He thanked to Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz Sharif who had withdrawn candidature of PML-N Tariq Rasheed in his favor in the by-election NA-149. He appealed to Jamat-e-Islami and Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman to announce their support in the larger interest of democracy.

Earlier former MNA Tariq Rasheed, MPAs Maqbool Shehzad Bhutta, MPA Mazhar Abbas Rawn, MPA Sultana Shaheen, PML-N district president Bilal Butt, secretary general Sheikh Athar Mumtaz and other office bearers announced their support to Javed Hashmi.
