Governor greets UBG for securing majority in FPCCI EC nomination

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar on Wednesday greeted Chairman United Business Group Iftikhar Ali Malik for securing overwhelming majority in the fresh nomination of executive committee in the Federation of  Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Governor Punjab while offering felicitation said that majority of the business community in a democratic manners has reposed full confidence in the leadership of Iftikhar Ali Malik which speaks of his popularity,dedication to serve the nation.

He hoped that forthcoming new body of federation would safeguard the interest of the traders and business community in a better way and accelerate the pace of industrialization besides providing a boost to the economic activities across the country.

He said that country needs trade leaders like iftikhar Ali Malik who have been actively working for trade policies selflessly for the last 45 years.

He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif attached a great importance to the welfare of business community and for the first time more than 50 per cent representation has been given to private sector in advisory committee of planning commission headed by the premier.

The Governor said that top leadership of private sector was also being taken into confidence in all national policy-making decisions at the federal level.
