LAHORE: Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital (LGH) Prof Anjum Habib Vohra has urged medical practitioners to join campaign against dengue and wipe out this menacing threat to public health.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting held in connection with dengue awareness campaign.
The meeting was attended by all the senior doctors of the hospital.
He said dengue treatment facilities have been ensured at the dengue counters established at Emergency ward round-the-clock while doctors, nurses and other staff also be there from 8 am to 8pm in the Outdoor ward.
The senior doctors briefed the principal about the steps taken in their concerned departments against dengue.
Prof Vohra told the meeting that spray and fogging was being carried out on daily basis in the hospital so as to protect doctors,nurses and attendants from dengue virus.
He said nursing superintendent must maintain patients’ charts regularly to closely monitor their recovery and treatment success.
