Constitution clear on new provinces yet no need bifurcate Sindh: Khuhro

HYDERABAD: Senior Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said the procedure for the creation of new provinces is clearly mentioned in the Constitution however there is no need to bifurcate Sindh into more provinces.

The majority of the members of Sindh Assembly do not want more provinces or administrative units by bifurcating Sindh nor it was the demand of the majority people of the province. He said that MQM Chief Altaf Hussain is talking about the new administrative units which already exist in Sindh. The bifurcation of existing province was not the demand of the majority of people of the country, he maintained and replying to a question, the Minister said that resignations of the ministers of MQM are not accepted yet.

About promotion of quality education in the province, the Minister informed that the government has initiated a number of measures and prepared formulas of education reforms as well as uplift of management, teachers and finance cadres.
