Complaint centres functional to rectify errors in online admission process

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Education, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Thursday directed the Director General of Colleges to set up 16 complaint centres, on urgent basis, for redressal of inconvenience caused to the candidates seeking admissions to local colleges.

He has also announced that the teaching hours at all intermediate colleges in city would be increased by hour an daily so as to compensate for the loss of precious time of the students consequent to delay in start of the current academic session.

Taking exception to reports about the fault that has developed in the software of the online admission process initiated recently for admissions to intermediate classes the minister said the adequately staffed complaint centres must rectify the errors, developed during online submission of admission forms by the students.

Complaint centres have been ordered to be immediately functional at Government College for Men – Nazimabad, Adamjee Science College,Superior Science College, D.J.Science College, Jinnah College,Government Boys College – Stadium Road, Government Science and Commerce College – Lyari.

Complaint centres for girl candidates have been set up at Sir Syed Girls College, Government College for Women Korangi four, Government Girls College Shah Faisal, PECHS Girls College, Shaheed e Millat Government Girls College, Government College for Women -Shahrah e Liaqut, Government Girls Science and Commerce College -Gulshan e Iqbal, Girls College – Musa Lane and Girls Degree College,block K, North Nazimabad.

As per directives of the Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro the errors reported by the students would be rectified within a week.
