RAWALPINDI: The police has made foolproof security plan to provide cover to worshipers on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha.
According to plan, as many as 3500 armed policemen would be deployed around mosques, Imambargahs, open places and sensitive buildings.
On the special instruction of City Police Officer CPO Hamyun Bashir Tarar, Policemen would patrol various sectors and police officers of respective circles would ensure proper security at Eid congregations to be held on the auspicious occasion.
The Elite force, Quick Response Force (QRF), volunteers, personnel of law enforcement and ladies police would also perform duties to provide security to the nimazi’s. Walk-through gates and scanners would be installed at main Eid congregations for the safety of citizens adding special pickets have been set up at all entry and exit points of the city.
Police urged the citizens to inform the relevant police, if they fiund any suspicious activity. It is mentioned that Eid Prayer would be offered 712 mosques, 52 Imambarghs and 58 open places in district Rawalpindi.
In Rawalpindi , the Rescue 1122 more than 400 Rescuer shall remain? on special duties in district control room, along with emergency rescue? stations, 14 fully equipped emergency ambulances, 10 fire vehicles, 02 rescue vehicles, 01 water rescue vehicle.
