DI KHAN: Amir Jamaat-i-Islami(JI) Siraj ul Haq Tuesday regretted that PTI and PAT’s sit-ins in Islamabad had shifted the focus of federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments from the sufferings of IDPs and flood affected people.
“If two political opponents could sign a unity deal in Afghanistan, then three political parties (PML-N, PTI, PAT) could also find an amicable solution of the present political crisis through negotiations and political means,” Siraj hoped while addressing a public gathering here.
He said efforts were underway to resolve the current political unrest through Jirga and political means.
The JI Amir said unfortunately, no government in the last 68 years had focused on resolving masses problems, rather they indulged in accumulating wealth by plundering the national exchequer, he added.
He said the feudal class had stashed wealth in foreign banks, while the poor were kept deprived and suppressed.
He said this class had been subservient to the British rulers in Sub-Continent and got lands in return and the same feudal class had imposed, what he called “economic and political terrorism in the country.
He said the country had failed to achieve what was envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
Siraj called upon the people to make joint efforts to make the country an Islamic welfare state where rule of law, justice and peace could prevail and where there was no room for feudalism which has taken heavy toll on the national economy.
The JI leader said that he had requested the Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq to not accept resignations of Pakistan Tehirik-e-Insaf(PTI) adding if resignations of PTI leaders were accepted, it would further deepen the political crisis and aggravate problems at a time when the country was already facing challenges including of IDPs and flood devastation.
JI Amir KPK chapter Professor Ibrahim also called upon the concerned to take care of the IDPs who were passing through critical situation.
