KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan discussed in detail prevailing political situation as well as province’s administrative and development matters and government’s measures for maintaining law and order.
In the meeting at the Governor’s House here on Thursday, the two leaders expressed that the resolution of political matters lies in dialogue.
They said that political leaders will have to resolve all the issues amicably in the larger interest of the country and people.
They observed that present political turmoil is leaving very bad impact on the country’s economy, therefore, prompt political solution to the issues should be found.
They said that peaceful protest, government’s patience and wisdom are the essence of democracy, but long political stalemate is not in the public interest.
They agreed to expedite work on ongoing development schemes in both rural and urban areas of the province and for starting effective projects to provide immediate relief to the people.
Expressing their determination to utilize all available resources for maintenance of law and order in the province, they said that protecting life and property of the masses is the top priority of the government.
