ISLAMABAD: The Executive Board Meeting (EBM) of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday authorized inquiry against Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Ex-Federal Minister, Azam Khan Hoti and three others.
The Executive Board Meeting (EBM) of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was held at NAB Headquarters. Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhry presided over the meeting.
According to NAB Spokesman, among five inquires, first inquiry was authorized against Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Ex-Federal Minister.
In this case the accused is alleged for illegally detaining 12 government buses for her private use and illegal appointments in Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP).
Second inquiry was authorized against Senator Azam Khan Hoti, his wife Humera Kash Azam and others. In this case the accused persons are alleged for illegal banking transactions and corruption of Rs 128 million.
Third inquiry was authorized against Rana Muhammad Ishaq, MNA and others, he added. He said the accused persons are alleged for embezzlement and misappropriation of Rs 500 million from Tehsil Pattoki Council Funds.
Forth inquiry was authorized against Qasim Zia, Ex-MPA, Ali Usman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Director, Khalid Anwar and Rana Zahid Directors of Stock Brokerage Pvt Ltd. In this case the accused persons are alleged for cheating public at large and misappropriation of Rs. 107.7 million received from general public in the name of stocks.
Fifth inquiry was authorized against Zaki Ullah, former Secretary Housing (presently OSD), and Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). In this case the accused person is alleged for accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income.
The Executive Board authorized a Complaint Verification (CV) against Maulana Abdul Wasay, ex-Provincial Minister Balochistan.
