ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz legislator Obaidullah Khan Shadikhail said Monday that Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, he said, wanted to become prime minister of the country by hook or by crook, for which he was increasing political tension.
Talking to APP here the PML-N MNA said that failure of PTI sit-in has exposed the irresponsibility and immaturity of its leadership.
He said the sit-in has proved to be complete failure and has exposed political stature of the party as people have rejected the politics of agitation.
Obaidullah Khan, MNA from NA-71 Mianwali said media has drastically reduced the coverage of the sit-in as the people are no more interested in watching its coverage.
The recent floods, he said, played havoc in different parts of the Punjab, washing away crops and damaging hundreds of thousands houses but instead of focusing on mitigating sufferings of flood-affected people and internally displaced persons of North Waziristan Agency was still indulging in dirty politics.
He said in civilized countries, people get their protest registered and leave the venue without interrupting routine matters, giving space to the government to address their grievances.
The PML-N MNA said that the country suffered great economic loss due to the sit-ins which have also affected Pakistan’s image abroad.
