ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Sunday parted ways with PTI leader Javed Hashmi who accused Imran Khan of receiving signals from somewhere.
Addressing party workers at Constitution Avenue, he said that allegation of Javed Hashmi were not correct. “I would have come earlier through clutches and support of others had I wanted to do so”.
Imran Khan said he and his party only took direction from people of Pakistan.
He also expelled three parliamentarians (MNAs) who had not yet tendered resignation as per party’s decision.
He said PTI negotiating Committee decided that PTI would not move towards the PM House. This decision was conveyed to the Chairman who endorsed it.
Secretary General Tareen and Additional Secretary General Saifullah conveyed this message to representatives of PAT who said their movement forward would remain completely peaceful.
On hearing this reassurance the Chairman convened a meeting of the larger Core Committee which endorsed Chairman’s view that PTI should peacefully move forward to PM House.
Javed Hashmi was the only exception so the Chairman went with the overwhelming majority as is the democratic norm.
