ISLAMABAD: Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq Sunday said good governance and performance were hallmark of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the PML-N government whenever came into power, it delivered well. “Our performance is better then previous government,” he said.
He said there was always a space for improvement and the government would continue to make sincere efforts to serve the public in a more efficient manner.
The ongoing sit-ins were being staged under a conspiracy by PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) to paralyse the government so that it could not deliver.
Replying to a question about Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)’s public meeting in Lahore, the Minister said gathering 20,000 to 25,000 people in the city of over 1.5 million population was not a significant achievement.
Saad said PTI had arranged such big gatherings in 2013- election campaign too, but the people gave the mandate to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
To another question, he said the government announced setting up a judicial commission comprising Supreme Court judges to look into election rigging allegations. The government would ensure implementation on the findings of the commission in letter and spirit, he reiterated.
Commenting on Imran Khan’s tone against political parties’ leaders, he said the PTI chief was loosing its public support gradually.
PML-N, he said, has its roots in masses and always worked for welfare of the common man.
