NAWABSHAH: Seven people on Wednesday got injured as an earthquake jolted Sindh’s Nawabshah district and its adjoining areas sources at Peoples Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) said.
No deaths have been reported so far. The injured were shifted to the PMCH.
According to the details a moderate jolt of earthquake at 1:34 p.m. caused a fear in city and its adjoining areas on Wednesday.
Nawabshah was last hit by a minor jolt earlier on September, 6 and also on May, 9 this year.
Today’s jolt was third one in a short span of three months. During jolt people were busy in routine business and it was time for schools’ closing when frightened minors and weeping students started running out of their classes.
Shopkeepers, customers and bank and offices staff ran outside their premises into the streets and open spaces.
The intensity of the jolt could not be immediately ascertained.
