KARACHI: Founder and leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain addressed to his party workers and supporters via a video-link from London on his 61st birthday yesterday, Aaj News reported.
According to Altaf’s address, he asserted that he does want to celebrate his 61st birthday and he wants his party leaders and Coordination Committee to raise funds for the flood victims.
Altaf mentioned in his speech that, hundreds of lives have been sacrificed in the emerging floods up till now, whereas millions of people are been forced to live under no roof in any certain circumstances. There has been a great destruction in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Altaf Hussain in his address also told the followers that speaking about a new administrative Province in Pakistan is not the same as speaking about splitting up the country. He further said that the local bodies system should be furnished again and new units should be introduced, which can save Pakistan from destruction.
