RAWALPINDI: The students of Fine Arts have displayed their ‘Thesis Work 2014’ that showcased the diverse and creative work of the students.
The exhibition assembled the work of the Bachelors as well as Masters students as part of their class projects and activities throughout the semester.
A staggering variety of ideas ranging from the very personal to the social, were explored creatively by the young students in diverse media.
This year’s thesis display consisted of work by different students, hailing from all the disciplines taught in Fine Arts Department i.e graphics, oil painting, miniature painting with the combination of hot needle technique, print making and textile.
Chief Guest, Acting Vice Chancellor, FJWU Professor Dr.Naheed Zia Khan, while appreciating the thesis in exhibition said that aesthetic sense was the unique gift of providence to the human kind.
However like everything else, this gift is not evenly distributed many of the students studying in the department of Fine Arts are amongst those fortune having disproportionally higher abilities and capabilitiesto appreciate and exhibit the aesthetic sense, he added.
The degree show 2014 was another exhibit of FJWU Fine Arts to have the ability to compete in National and International arts festivals.
Some of the students have produced work which is one of its kind, while considering all relevant parameters of art appreciation.
The show indeed is a fascinating feat both for the students and the faculty, as a large number of the faculty and students visited the display and appreciated the accomplishment of the students.
Also people from different walks of life visited University and admired the skill and ideas of the young artists.
The thesis display will remain open till Sept 1 for outsiders.
