PESHAWAR: Sadam-ul-Haq, Rais Khan, Salman Zeb and Naseem Khan moved to the main qualifiers of the ongoing Hashim Khan Memorial Pakistan International Circuit-II being played here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Friday.
The names of the all the four qualifiers from the pre-qualifying round, were sent to Professional Squash Association so that they could announce top 16 players for main qualifiers, match referee Fahim Gul told APP here.
He said out of the 16 qualifiers, top four players would then moved to the main round of 12 players to be starting from August 25 while the final of the event would be played on August 28, 2014, he added.
In the last four matches Sadam-ul-Haq defeated Waqar Mehboob by 3-1, the score was 12-10, 11-9, 7-11 and 11-8. Promising Sadam-ul-Haq, although faced some resistance yet he dominated with some fine smashes and attacking display.Sadam-ul-Haq took the first set by 12-10 which was tied at 6-6, 7-7, and 10-10 but later on Sadam-ul-Haq marched into victory. After winning the first set, he did the same in the second set by winning 11-9. Waqar Mehboob got the third set by 7-11 but again Sadam-ul-Haq took the fourth and decisive set by 11-8.
In the second match Rais Khan defeated Kashif Asif by 3-0 in a one-sided affairs, the score was 11-9, 11-7 and 11-9, Salman Zeb beat Nouman Khan 3-1, the score was 10-12, 11-7, 11-6 and 11-8 while Naseem Khan beat Babrak Khan by 3-0, the score was 12-10, 13-11, and 11-9.
