Saad urges PTI to focus on resolving KPK issues

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique on Friday urged Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf to focus on resolving the issues of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and avoid holding protest demonstrations.

He said, “It is very unfortunate that KPK cabinet arrived in the federal capital for holding protest demonstration and left the internally displaced persons in the lurch.”

He said that the people living in the KPK areas were facing a number of problems emerged due to heavy rains. There was a dire need to start rehabilitation work in Peshawar and adjacent areas, where heavy rain had played havoc.

Khawaja Saad Rafique said the KPK ministers should focus on providing facilities to a large number of IDPs and avoid damaging the political system.

To a question regarding long march of PTI, he said that all the matters or issues would be resolved through dialogue or talks.

The minister said that Imran Khan had desired to become premier,but unfortunately, his dream could not be fulfilled in the general elections 2013.

To another question, he appreciated the role of Governor Sindh, Opposition leader, MQM leader, Jamat-e-Islami chief and other political parties for continuing the policy of dialogue to strengthen democratic system in the country.
