KARACHI: A leader of PML (F) and Member of Sindh Assembly Mehtab Akbar Rashdi has rejected the demand made by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, seeking dissolution of the parliament and the provincial assemblies, as unconstitutional.
Talking to APP here on Saturday she said these houses had come into being through general elections.
Criticising Qadri she said he has no role in the country’s politics and the only agenda he was pursing was creating anarchy and chaos in the country.
She said the political parties should reject such unconstitutional demands outrightly.
Ms Rashdi questioned how Qadri could claim that the elected representatives did not fulfill the requirements of Article 62 and 63 as he had no such legal or constitutional authority to give such verdicts.
