KARACHI: The issues of overall development and law and order were discussed at a meeting of Ministers in the Sindh Cabinet belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party.
The meeting presided over jointly by Patron-in-Chief PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Co-chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari was also attended by Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and the Sindh Chief Secretary,said a statement issued by Bilawal House Media Cell here on Sunday.
Co-Chairman PPP asked all ministers to focus on development projects which are important for the people. He also instructed ministers to enhance contacts with the people. He said that people have mandated them and it is their prime responsibility to work for the benefit of the people. Ultimately all public representatives are accountable to the people, he added.
The Co-Chairman also briefed the meeting about his meetings with political leaders including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yesterday. He said PPP has expressed its resolve to defend democracy at all costs as its leaders have sacrificed their lives for democracy in the country.
PPP will continue to support democratic forces and institutions in the country.
The meeting congratulated Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on his successful meetings with political leaders in Lahore yesterday and reposed full confidence in leadership of the party.
Ministers and Advisers who attended meeting included Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Manzoor Wassan, Murad Ali Shah, Sharjeel Memon, Mukesh Kumar, Jam Khan Shoro, Mumtaz Jakhrani, Jam Mehtab Dehar. Speaker Sindh Assembly, Agha Siraj Durrani and Deputy Speaker, Ms Shehla Raza, were also present in the meeting.
