ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday forecast hot and humid weather for most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
However, rain-thundershowers are expected at isolated places in Mirpurkhas division during the next 24 hours.
According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low was lying over north
Baluchistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending southeastwards.
Weak monsoon currents were penetrating into southeastern parts of the country and Kashmir. A shallow westerly wave was prevailing over Kashmir and adjoining areas.
The weather would remain hot and humid in most parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during the next 24 hours.
The chief amount of rainfall recorded during the last 24 hours was Bannu 19 mm, Barkhan 13, Astore, Balakot, Khuzdar 04, Sargodha 03, Skardu 02, Abbotabad and Mirpurkhas 01 mm.
The hottest places recorded during the last 24 hours were Nokkundi, Dadu, Dalbandin 41 C, Sibbi, Lasbella 40 C and Turbat and Chhor 39 C.
