ISLAMABAD:Minister for Commerce Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan Friday said the “lust for power” was damaging the economic
stability of the country.
The minister, in a statement, said the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had restored the confidence of investors but it was shattered by the so-called long marches launched for the “lust of power” in fourteen hours.
The main aim of the marchers was to grab powers through unconstitutional means, he added.
He said the economy of country had so far endured Rs 300 billion losses due to the marches. The Pakistani rupee had also lost its value fast.
The international investors was in quandary due to negative politics of some leaders. “The lust for power has damaged the country’s economy.”
