LOWER DIR: Jamaat-e-Islami’s MPA, Muzaffar Sayed has said that every effort would be made to secure democracy and elements trying to derail the democratic system won’t be left spared.
Talking to journalists here at Timergarah, Muzaffar said peace in the region was linked with democracy. Everyone, he said has the right to stage protest but possibility of violence and sabotage cannot be ruled out in such protests.
To a question, he said it was not the time make hue and cry for rigging in polls when more than a year has passed.There was a sovereign parliament and Election Commission which are the true forums to discuss and address such issue, he said and added that roads were not meant to resolve issues of national level and such attempts could lead to anarchy and violence.
He said government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was a sacred trust of the people and we cannot deceive them by rendering resignations.
