LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs and Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sindhu has said that inter-faith harmony is must to get rid of terrorism.
All segments of society should play their due role in this regard.
Khalil Tahir Sindhu expressed these views while talking to the President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry Engineer Sohail Lashari at the LCCI here on Friday.
The minister said peace was essential for economic development but some elements were creating anarchy like situation for their own interests. “How these people could be well-wishers of Pakistan who are utilizing their all energies to create unrest in the country,” he added. He said role of the business community was significant in the present scenario.
The provincial minister also threw light on various steps take by the Punjab government for wellbeing of minorities.
He said the government was striving for uplift of education and health sectors, women development as well as promotion of religious harmony and brotherhood in society.
In his address, LCCI President Engineer Sohail Lashari thanked the minister for visiting the Lahore Chamber of Commerce &Industry.
