RAWALPINDI: Punjab Minister for Labour, Manpowerand Head of Provincial Independence of Pakistan Celebrations Committee, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that in order to pay homage to the motherland, Independence of Pakistan celebrations commenced with great enthusiasm.
PML (N) leaders, workers, citizens and government officials have made comprehensive programmers to mark the event of national importance.
He stated this while addressing on the occasion of flag hoisting ceremony held at Jinnah Hall, Murree on Saturday.
Assistant Commissioner Murree Tahir Farooqi, ASP Tariq Ellahi, PML(N) Tehsil President Raja Daftar Abbasi, other office bearers,officials and people belonging to all sections of society participated in the ceremony.
Prior to this the Provincial Minister presided meeting in which he unveiled the programme of Independence celebrations and appealed to all citizens to place national flag at their houses and demonstrate their sentiments of patriotism.
He said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif the government is committed to attain the goal of economic prosperity but some elements for their vested interest wants to disrupt the ongoing developmental process through their negative motives. He said country is facing internal and external challenges and external forces wants to destabilize Pakistan by crating unrest and uncertainty.
Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that people of Pakistan are politically awakened and well aware about the negative tactics and nefarious designs of those elements who believed on politics of hatred and variance. He said that it is need of hour that all political forces should be on one page to tackle the challenges confronted by the country due to international scenario.
Provincial Labour Minister said that he would undertake visits of Divisional Headquarters to review the programmes of Independence Celebrations and in this connection the meetings of DCO’sof Rawalpindi Division would be held in Rawalpindi on Monday.
He said educational institutions have made special programmes to mark Independence celebrations.
