Governor urges politicians to be cautious in handling differences

KARACHI: Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan said politicians of the country must be extremely cautious to see that protest may never spiral into disorder and turmoil.

Replying to queries raised by media about the PTI planned “Long March”, he said constitutional rights of every single citizen of the country as well as political parties have to be respected and similarly the former also ought to realize their responsibilities.

“No one should transcend their rights guaranteed under the constitution,” said the Governor of Sindh.

Felicitating the nation on eve of the country’s 68th independence anniversary, he hoped that sanity would prevail and discord would be resolved between the parties that enjoy public confidence.

Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad in this context also referred to conference called by Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, only a few days ago and attended by representatives of different political parties.

“It was consensus opinion of the participants that matter must be resolved through talks in accordance to the constitution,” said the Governor of Sindh.
