ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan for negotiationS at a private hotel in Islamabad, Aaj News reported.
According to the sources, meeting was also attended by several govt and PTI negotiators. Govt negotiator representatives comprised Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, Punjab Governor Chaudary Sarwar, Ahsan Iqbal, Zahid Hamid and Abdul Qadir Baloch, whereas PTI negotiator representatives comprised of Asad Umar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Arif Alvi, Javed Hashmi and Jehangir Tareen.
Imran Khan’s demands:
Earlier Imran Khan announced six pact demands to the govt which included:
1- Nawaz Sharif to resign from the designation of Prime Minister.
2- There should Mid-term elections.
3-Electoral reforms be made.
4- Formation of Interim government through consensus among political parties.
5- All members of Election Commission of Pakistan should resign.
6- Imposing Article 6 and punishments on those who were involved in rigging during May 2013 election.
