FPCCI calls for extension in deadline to file income tax returns

KARACHI:  Acting President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Shaukat Ahmed has demanded the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the deadline for filing income tax returns for another month, upto September 30, 2014.

In a statement here on Tuesday, he said that due to the prevailing  conditions in the country as a result of political sit-ins, in Islamabad and other cities of the country the FBR offices are not working properly.

Besides the tax returns filers face problems and it would be very difficult for them to file the returns by  the deadline of August 31.
