ISLAMABAD: The first round of negotiation talks of Govt and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) came to an end on Wednesday night, Aaj News reported.
After concluding the meeting, the govt representatives, Haider Abbas Rizvi and Aijazul Haq spoke to the media men. Haider Abbas Rizvi revealed that seven out of ten demands have been agreed, whereas Aijazul Haq stated that negotiations between both the teams went well and dialogue is a good way to curtail the gap between both the parties.
Aijazul Haq further revealed that he is not sure how long the dialogue process is going to take, but he and other govt representatives are working out their best to conclude it as soon as possible.
Revealing some of the demands, Aijazul Haq mentioned that PAT wants Nawaz and other central and Punjab authorities to resign from their designations, whereas Tahirul Qadri has also put forward the demand for the resignation and FIR launch of Model Town tragedy and it’s culprits. Qadri said that ‘they now want democracy’.
