Peshawar: Extreme rainfall along with thundering winds has created mass destruction in Peshawar resulting in death of eight people, Aaj News reported.
According to reports, at least eight died and about thirty four are injured in various incidents due to roofs and walls falling apart in different areas.
According to sources, in district Reign, two children died and one woman got injured while in District Sheikhan, three people received injuries due to cracking of the roof tops of their houses.
In several other areas of the city, deaths and injuries are reported.
The rescue teams have shifted the injured people to Lady Reading Hospital and Khyber Teaching Hospital.
The Chief Minister of KPK, Pervaiz Khattak has instructed the district administration to remain alert and has also implied emergency in the three big hospitals of the city.
