ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) and Supreme Court Bar Association (SPBA) are observing a complete strike today on Thursday across the country in regard to support the democracy, the rule of law and the supremacy of the Constitution, Aaj News reported.
According to the sources, the particular decision of strike was taken in a joint executive body meeting of PBC and SPBA at a local hotel on Wednesday. A mutual decision was agreed upon by all the attendees of the meeting, whereas it also stated that that this one-day strike has nothing to do with the identical petitions of the SCBA and High Court Bar Association Multan in the Supreme Court. The sources revealed that the petitions filed against PTI and PAT break in in the Red Zone of the capital are fixed for today on Thursday.
The executive meeting discussed the current political turmoil and chaos, whereas it also stressed the need of deriving out an immediate solution to these turmoils in regard to the national interest and within the constitutional and legal terms.
The meeting further disgraced judicial killings occurring in Lahore and any other provinces and integrated the solutions for it and claimed that authorities should bring it to justice. The executives in the meeting also condemned Civil Obedience by Imran Khan, and advised him to back off from it and fight through legal ways.
