The last Ashra refers to the last set of 10 days of Ramazan and is meant to seek refuge in ALLAH and freedom from Hell.
Just the way Ramadan enjoys an immense superiority over all the other months of the year due to the revelation of Holy Quran, its last Ashra are superior to the two earlier Ashras due to the fall of Lailat-ul-qadar in one of the odd sacred nights of last Ashra of Ramazan.
This is the most important and blessed time to worship Almighty Allah and to seek his forgiveness and blessings. Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W) devoted himself more intensively to prayers & other forms of worship during the last Ashra of Ramadan & urged others also to do the same.
The last Ashra of Ramadan accompanies with Lailat-ul-qadar, a divine and Holy night filled with infinite blessings and rewards for those who succeeds in searching this night in the odd numbers of nights i.e.21st , 23rd ,25th ,27th & 29th and devoting most of the time in prayers.
Another significant prayer is to sit in Itekaf which is seclusion in a room or Masjid in last Ashra of Ramazan and to remember and worship Almighty Allah at all hours.
Ramadan is a time to be thankful, hopeful, humble and to manifest the everlasting love of Allah & Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W). May Allah brings a successful Ramadan and a happy forth coming year. Ameen!
