ISLAMABAD: Leader of the ANP and Chairman of Senate’s Standing Committee on Higher Education, Senator Abdul Nabi Bangash welcomed the government’s decision of setting up university in FATA area with allocation of five hundred million rupees.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that: “I hope foundation stone of this university would be laid soon after Eid”.
Senator Bangash said: “Hilly people never came to cities and they are living without proper facilities like food and shelter etc.”
Replying to a question, he said the people of FATA has been considered as an unpaid army of Pakistan so the government should provide them every facility like school, college, hospital, factory etc.
He recommended for developmental project to be executed there to facilitate people of the area.
FATA people have no access to education and sources of knowledge so if government wants to eliminate extremism; education emergency should be declared in FATA and some parts of KPK and Baluchistan for establishing universities.
