KARACHI: Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif will hold a high-level meeting today on Thursday in regard to the Karachi law and order situation at Governor House, Aaj News reported.
According to the sources, PM Nawaz arrived in Karachi for one-day visit, along with Interior Minister Chaudary Nisar. Nawaz Shairf will chair a meeting in regard to the law and order situation in Karachi today at Governor House.
The sources revealed that the meeting will be attended by Chaudary Nisar Ali Khan, Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad, CM of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, DG RangerS and other prominent leaders and police officials.
The meeting will discuss the report prepared by the police officials in regard to the operations and raids which have taken place in Karachi during past 10 months. The details of the report mentions that 31,336 accused including 264 terrorists, 336 extortionists, 4663 drug dealers and 1260 target killers have been arrested in the past 10 months, whereas 392 accused have been killed in various police encounters.
It is pertinent to know the operations in Karachi started in September 2013 on the orders of the Federal Govt.against criminal activities. The police and Rangers, both are a part of this operation.
