Laylatul Qadr, the spiritual night of Ramadan full of power and divinity, the night when Allah, the Exalted revealed Qur’an as a complete guidance for mankind and for their success in this world and the Hereafter. This magnificent night holds the infinite rewards and blessings than any other night in the whole Islamic year only for those who succeed to find it and pray the most. Allah, the Exalted, has described this night as ‘better than a thousand nights’.
This night posses unparallel greatness, Angels descends down on this Holy night with bundles of goodness, blessings and mercy. The exact date of this night is not revealed by Allah although He invites His men to ponder over and search Laylatul Qadr in the last ten odd nights of Ramadan (i.e. the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th or the last night of Ramadan).
Seeking this night in the sacred nights of last Ashra is itself a worship and a matter of divine wisdom because only the one can find this night who holds a pure heart and soul free from all sins and worldly desires. Every prayer on this night carry multiple rewards and blessings. Allah on this night opens his doors of absolution and asks his men, who wants forgiveness.
However, the most likely date for Laylatul Qadr is the night of the twenty seventh of Ramadan but it is advisable to seek this blessed night in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan. This night brings us the opportunity to increase our good deeds over bad ones and an utmost chance to please God and gain his blessings and forgiveness.
May Allah give us the ability to reap the benefits of Ramadan and Laylatul Qadr and deprive us not of any of its blessings. May He also enable us to build an eternal bond with the Holy Book which has made Ramadan a blessed and glorious month.
