RAWALPINDI: Water supply to several city areas will remain suspended for three hours on June, 23 and 24, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) announced here on Saturday.
The water supply would remain suspended for three hours from 5.00 AM to 8.00 AM due to shifting of Wapda transmission lines at Metro Bus Project site, the WASA announcement said.
WASA has appealed to the residents to store water for their needs to avoid any inconvenience.
The announcement said besides shifting of wapda lines, the pipeline would also be repaired at some points. Therefore, it would be impossible for WASA to provide water to the residents on Monday and Tuesday for three hours.
However, water supply to other city areas would continue as usual, it said.
The areas which would be affected due to suspension of water supply are A,B,C Block, Satellite Town, Saidpur Road, Raja Bazar, Akal Gar, Dhoke Ratta, Dhoke Dalal, Bagh Sardaran, Dhoke Ghaba, Jhangi Mohalla and Kartarpura.
WASA has made special arrangements to supply water to any of the above mentioned areas through water tankers.
