Mangoes are the golden fruits from heaven bringing sweet delights to Pakistani people. Every summer breaks with a new arrival of these mighty mangoes that waters every mouth. Mango season in Pakistan lasts for about four to five months giving people ample time to enjoy unlimited mango pleasures.
Pakistan is one of the largest producers of mangoes in the world, producing the best quality of mangoes of several types. Types of mangoes are exhibited in various festivals held in different cities of Pakistan bringing yellow fun among the people. Pakistan earns huge revenue by exporting mangoes to several countries.
In Pakistan, every shack, stall and market of mangoes is chock full of people. These mango freaks cannot resist the scent and taste of mangoes and rush to buy them no matter how costly they are.
However, this is a sad plight that instead of having a large mango production the people are deprived of mangoes due to their sky-rocketing prices. This season “sindhri mango” which is the best quality of mango rates 80 Rs per kilo which is quite costly for an average earning person to afford. The market holders should lower the cost of mangoes and should deliver fresh quality of mangoes to shops so that people can have the most of it.
After all there’s no escaping the mango mania.
