BANNU: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday arrived in Bannu on a day-long visit where he will visit the relief camps setup for Internally Displaced People (IDPs) of the North Waziristan Agency.
On his arrival, the Prime Minister was received by Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif. Federal Minister for Safron, Lt Gen (retired) Abdul Qadar Baloch and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervez Rasheed accompanied the Prime
The Prime Minister was briefed about elaborate arrangements made by the federal and provincial governments besides provincial and FATA Disasters Management Authorities for facilitation and assistance of the IDPs.
The Prime Minister was also given a detailed briefing by the army authorities. Governor Khyber Pakthunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and Corps Commander Peshawar Lt Gen Khalid Rabbani was also present.
The Prime Minister will visit IDPs camps and will meet dislocated persons and families migrated from North Waziristan Agency due to military operation against militants and
terrorists in the area.
