ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Saturday observed a two-minute silence to mourn the brutal murder of Handery Masih Baloch, a member of Balochistan Assembly. Khalil George, a minority MNA informed the House that a minority MPA of Balochistan Assembly Handery Masih has been assassinated.
He demanded impartial inquiry to probe the murder and punish the killers. State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed assured the House that he will contact provincial government and urge impartial inquiry of the murder.
Expressing grief and sorrow over the murder, he said the government was with the family of the late PMA.
The representatives of various political parties went to Khalil George and strongly condemned the brutal murder of the MPA and demanded impartial inquiry to ascertain the culprits.
Speaking on the occasion Ejaz Jakhrani of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) expressed concern over the brutal murder.
Iqbal Muhammad Khan of Mutahida Quomi Movement (MQM) said it was the murder of democracy.
Shehryar Afridi of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) expressed grief and sorrow and sympathized with the family of the late MPA of Balochistan Assembly.
He said the personal guard of Handery had killed the MPA. Maulana Ameer Zaman of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) criticized the provincial government of Balochistan, saying such incidents have become a routine in Balochistan.
Abdul Rahim Mandokhel Pakhtunkhaw Milli Awami Party (PKMP) condoled with the family of the late PMA.
Ayesha Sayed of Jamat-e-Islami expressed solidarity with the family of the deceased.
