Musharraf ECL case: SHC files appeal


KARACHI: Regarding the removal of former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) at the earliest,  an appeal has been filed in the Sindh High Court (SHC), Aaj News reported on Friday.

According to the reports, the appeal filed by the former president’s lawyer, Faroog Naseem calls on the SHC to amend its verdict which suspended the order of removing Musharraf’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) for 15 days allowing time for the government to file an appeal in the Supreme Court.

‘Pervez Musharraf’s mother is ill and he should be allowed to leave the country on an immediate basis’, the appeal stated.
