LAHORE: The condition of MQM’s MNA Tahira Asif is now out of danger, quoted Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Rasheed Godil, Aaj News reported.
Yesterday, MNA Tahira Asif was shot and sustained bullet injuries by some unknown gunmen near Gujranwala, when she was on her way to Islamabad. She received two bullets in her abdomen and was rushed to Sheikh Zayed hospital Lahore.
Rasheed Godil said she had gone through a successful surgery and that she would be transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) soon.
Doctors said that she is now out of danger.
Taking notice of the attack on the MQM MNA, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif sought a report from IG Police.
However, MQM MNA Asif Husnain said the armed attack on Tahira Asif’s car is being purposely misrepresented as a robbery.
