KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leadership has appealed to traders, transporters and the public to resume their routine activities.
Addressing a news conference here on Wednesday night, MQM Coordination Committee’s Deputy Convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui expressed gratitude to the people from all walks of life for expressing unity and solidarity with Altaf Hussain against his arrest
in London over money-laundering allegations.
He said that in light of the telephonic conversation with Altaf Hussain on Wednesday evening from London’s local hospital, it is appealed that people resume their routine activities.
However, he said that the MQM will continue sit-ins in Karachi and other parts of the country to show solidarity with the party chief.
