LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has been released from the Metropolitan police as they took Altaf’s interview at Southwark Police Station, Aaj News reported.
According to the official reports, Altaf Hussain’s interview continued for nine hours and ended after midnight according to Pakistan’s standard time.
His released has been confirmed by Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan. It should be mentioned here that Sindh governor has been in contact with the federal government and officials in London for the purpose.
As Altaf Hussain got release, the news of Altaf Hussain’s release sent a wave of joy among the participants of the sit-ins in Karachi and Hyderabad. Jubilant crowed also emerged outside MQM’s headquarters ‘Nine Zero’ in Karachi after the local TV channels broke the news of his release on bail.
After his release, the MQM supremo addressed via telephone to his party workers and supporters who have been staging sit-ins since the day of his arrest, and directed them to end their peaceful protest.
