Islamabad/Rawalpindi: Mobile Phone services down, security alerted


ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: The mobile phone services have been blocked down in the twin cities before the given time, whereas 20 troops of the Rangers personnel have been given duties on important locations in Islamabad.

According to the reports, Interior Minister of Pakistan ordered the Tele-communication authority to turn down the mobile phone signals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi from 5:00 am till 11:00 am (next morning), due to emerging threats.

On the other hand, 20 troops of Rangers Quick Response Force have been deployed on prominent locations in Islamabad, whereas the security in Islamabad is on high alert to avoid any mishap.

The reports further mentioned that 3000 police officials have been given duties up till now, whereas 1000 extra police officials have been called in from Azad Kahmir.

Meanwhile, 20 troops of Rangers Quick Response Force have been deployed on prominent location in Islamabad from 6:00 am in the morning, whereas all magistrates state commissioners will be available for 24 hours today. The reports also revealed that all the entry and exit points of Islamabad have been sealed down by containers.
