LAHORE: I will not talk to the government representatives but only to the armed forces, said Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on Monday at Lahore Airport, Aaj News reported.
While talking to the media from inside the aircraft at the Lahore airport, he said that he will not come out till his security is guaranteed by the military.
The flight of Dr Tahirul Qadri landed at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, diverted from Islamabad, where he refused to get off from the plane. According to the reports, thousands of supporters are present at the Islamabad airport and questioned that why there sentiments being hurt by diverting his flight to Lahore and asking him to exit the plane.
Qadri talked to the media, saying that he is a Pakistani citizen and it is his right to land anywhere he wants. Qadri clearly told media that he wants peaceful revolution and democratic system in the country.
It is pertinent to mention here that a large number of PAT supporters arrived at the Lahore airport after their leader’s flight was diverted from Islamabad.
