Terrorist involved in Nazimabad blast killed

KARACHI: A terrorist involved in Nazimabad blast was killed in an encounter with Rangers during a raid at a hideout near Ijtimahgah Road, here on Wednesday.

According to Rangers, the targeted raid was conducted on receiving intelligence about the presence of TTP terrorists involved in Wednesday’s bomb blast in Nazimabad. The terrorists were planning further attacks on law enforcement agencies.

As soon as Rangers personnel entered an isolated house, two terrorists started firing and tried to escape. However, the Rangers personnel chased them and after minutes of exchange of fire one terrorist identified as Saifullah was killed, while his accomplice managed to escape in the cover of darkness.

A rifle, a grenade and a large quantity of explosives were recovered. The search for the fleeing terrorist was underway.
